Helping Hands
Centre 440 Hawkesbury - Providing lunch / Creating Community - Barbecued hot dogs, salads, vegetable plates, corn on the cob, chips, fruit, birthday cakes.....Good food brings people together. Community keeps them there. And what a great time we had last Saturday, including the celebration of five birthdays! How heart-warming to see everyone enjoying their meal, joining in to sing Happy Birthday (in French and English!) and simply enjoying the company of those around them!

Don't forget to follow us on Facebook (Centre 440 Hawkesbury) and keep up-to-date on what's happening at Centre 440!
A reminder that financial donations can be made by e-transfer (centre440hawkesbury@gmail.com ), cash or cheque (made out to St John's Anglican Church, VKH with Centre 440 written on the Memo line). Tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or more. If you have any questions or comments, or would like to join our volunteer team, please send us an email at centre440hawkesbury@gmail.com We would be delighted to hear from you!
Please continue to keep your milk bags for a collection in the fall! Our parish has collected 500+ to date!!!! These are a great help to Anne Kirby and her group at All Saints Anglican Church in Greely as they use them to weave into mats for the homeless! Please keep your milk bags (clean, flat) and we will begin collecting them again in September!
Centre 105 Cornwall - Container Collection on Summer Hiatus! Thanks to your incredible generosity, Centre 105 Cornwall is currently bursting at the seams with containers! Because they have an abundance of stock to get them through the coming months, we will not be collecting containers throughout the summer. Please hold onto your containers for now and we will let you know when the collection starts back up in the fall!
Maxville Food Donations - St Michael's Church encourages anyone who is able to donate non-perishable food items, toiletries or even pet food. These donations will go to the white and green boxes on the grassy area at the Main St entryway to the Post Office. Folks who are in need can help themselves at any time.
If you know anyone who doesn’t receive emails and you do, please help us get the word out by printing these communications and sharing.
