We would like to have memorial bouquets for every service. Felix or Randal will note the memorial during the service and you are welcome to take them home at the end of service. We will start Sunday January 4, 2026.
Art as a Spiritual Activity - Every Sunday in January and February. A Sunday afternoon meeting with your creative power in a sacred space, guided by Marlana Carnett. "Let me guide you through a relaxing session of playfulness and reflection, using simple art materials. Join this class to discover your own wisdom and inner strength. Amaze yourself!" Check here for times and contacts.

Testimonial: Reg and I attended the workshop hosted by Marlana yesterday. It was wonderful! We were gently, skillfully, led to explore colour and line without judgement. From the candle to the quiet in the room we had a beautiful sensitive respectful space. Marlana will be using different mediums for us each week. You need to let her know you are coming so there will be a space prepared for you….come to the banquet! (Rosemary and Reg)

Helping Hands
Centre 440 Hawkesbury - Providing Lunch / Creating Community - Last week we welcomed 42 participants for a meal of soup, chef salad, beef stew, rolls, nachos and dip, a wide variety of desserts and beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice). A great meal! But Centre 440 is so much more than a free hot meal....It is becoming a place where a sense of community is being formed - where people look out for each other.....Like the homeless man who, after having spoken with one of our volunteers during the week, had the courage to come for the first time, and says he will come back again; like the woman in need who came to the Centre desperately looking for help and left with boots, a winter coat and several shirts, all thanks to the generosity of volunteers and other participants who saw a person who needed a hand and stepped up, sharing what little they had to help someone else in need; like the couple who live locally who joined us because they are part of the wider community and who blessed us with a generous donation; like the volunteers who selflessly give of their time and welcome everyone with a smile and words of encouragement. Yes - Centre 440 provides a great lunch. But more importantly, we offer a welcoming, safe environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity and where everyone feels like they belong.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone in this Parish for your ongoing support and for helping make a difference in the lives of others! We encourage you to follow us on Facebook (Centre 440 Hawkesbury) and if you have any questions or comments, or would like to volunteer, please send us an email at centre440hawkesbury@gmail.com. We would be delighted to hear from you!
Food Bank Baskets - Please remember to bring contributions for the Food Bank baskets at Holy Trinity Hawkesbury and St John’s Vankleek Hill. The most requested items are canned meat and fish, canned vegetables and fruit, cereal, pasta and sauce, legumes and peanut butter. The local Food Banks depend on our faithful contributions. St. John’s is collecting pill bottles (labels removed) , eye glasses, used stamps and pop can tabs for Belong Ottawa. There is also a basket for these items at Holy Trinity. Your contributions are appreciated.
We send out a newsletter every week to keep everyone informed about current events, service schedules, and service content. Follow this link to access this week's newsletter.
